The Business Systems Analyst (Finance/Accounting) assists in the implementation and build-out of financial systems applications with ongoing responsibilities to support, strengthen, and enhance Inovalon’s Finance and Accounting applications. The primary system of responsibility is Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); the incumbent also supports Hyperion and maintains a working relationship with the Human Capital Management (HCM) system and other integration system teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Oracle Financials ERP following internal control guidelines and the Inovalon’s Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Assists with ensuring system configuration adheres to leading best practices, business operations requirements, and organizational values
• Participates in system upgrades including requirements gathering and documentation, functional design documentation, configuration setup, testing, and training
• Prepares business and technical design documentation for enhancement requests and processes system enhancement requests within sprint cycles
• Reviews and analyzes software upgrade releases
• Proactively identifies, documents, and communicates potential problems and issues, including opportunities for improvement, to leadership team members as appropriate.
• Identifies alternatives and recommends/implements solutions as appropriate
• Performs routine maintenance and daily systems support
• Troubleshoots application and functional business issues and assists in resolving end user questions in a timely and professional manner
• Maintains compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement
• Adheres to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position
• Fulfills those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company

Job Requirements
• Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting financial applications and the application users
• Minimum one (1) year of experience supporting Oracle Financial Applications
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle accounting and financial software (GL A/P, Fixed Assets, Costing, A/R, Projects)
• Ability to define and design business processes and reporting within critical business applications
• Experience building financial reports, preferably with Oracle tools (FRS, Smartview, and OTBI)
• Experience in problem-solving and system troubleshooting
• Technical awareness of trends and issues in the financial software marketplace
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle using agile and/or waterfall methodology
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate requirements into design documents

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems or equivalent relevant experience

• Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions
