ABOUT THE POSITION

At the direction of the Analytics Manager, the BAS Data Analyst will work closely with clients to ensure that they use their Building Automation System (BAS) to the best extent of its capabilities to successfully meet their energy and operational goals.  Candidates with Mathematics and Programming skills are encouraged to apply– we will train!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Analyze and organize point data from multiple BAS systems, assessing data to ensure suitability for use in BAS analysis applications.
  • Review and summarize monthly analytics reports and troubleshoot issues identified on analytics reports via Niagara/Reliable/SkySpark.
  • Set up, maintain, and update sites in SkySpark.
  • Use BAS systems, blueprints, control schematics, manuals, and other specifications to verify proper end-to-end mapping of BAS points into the Analytics System.
  • Revise and create new analytics rules.
  • Meet with customers on a regular basis to track progress on key performance indicators (KPIs) and uncover additional opportunities for the company to help customers meet their goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for customers, providing training and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of internal personnel and external customer groups to complete multiple concurrent project goals.
  • Conducting oneself with the highest level of business integrity while keeping sensitive business and personnel information in the strictest of confidence.
  • Other analytics duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum education:  High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Mathematics skills or formal Mathematics training – a plus, but not required
  • Experience working with BAS systems or HVAC equipment – a plus, but not required.
  • Fully proficient computer skills, particularly using basic data science/programming tools (SQL, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Strong system debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to successfully coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality code and analyze large sets of data.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills, with an aptitude for solving complex problems.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work independently and part of a larger team.
