Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Investigate, design, and implement best-in-industry, innovative technologies that will expand Inovalon’s infrastructure through robust, automated, scalable solutions;  
• Responsible for Deploy and Configure internal cloud solutions;  
• Responsible for creating, versioning, and testing of scripts to achieve high-level of automation; 
• Contribute to the enterprise infrastructure vision and strategy;  
• Subject matter expert influencing decision makers on appropriate technology;  

• Contribute to service reliability and sustainability;  
• Contribute to production system development from requirements to release; and   
• Design, scope, budget and propose future IT Infrastructure solutions including highly available cloud-based solutions. 
• Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement; 
• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; 

• Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;

Job Requirements:   

• Experience with container services such as docker, LXC or LXD;  
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python and Perl or equivalent;  

• Experience with VMWare vRealize Suite (vCO/vRO/vRA/vCAC)and vSphere Platform;  
• Experience with configuration management tools (Anisble, Puppet, Chef, SCCM);  
• Familiar with information system architecture to include systems, storage, networking components;  
• A penchant for thinking outside the box to solve complex and interesting problems; 
• Extensive knowledge of existing industry standards, technologies, and infrastructure operations  

• 5+years of related systems engineer experience required;

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent experience.   

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

• Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time); 
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;  
• Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions; 
• Subject to inside environmental conditions; and 
• Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
